Hi! I’m Melissa, an LGBTQIA+ proofreader.

I am meticulous and thorough, with excellent attention to detail. I use these skills to help authors polish their manuscripts, catching those sneaky typos and inconsistencies that make their way in throughout the writing and editing process.

I’m not only passionate about proofreading, but also about advocating for queer representation. Growing up, I saw little to no queer representation in the books I was reading, which I think contributed to my not realizing I was pansexual until I was in my twenties.

Queer stories are undeniably beautiful, important, and necessary. With every book you write, you are helping people to feel valid and seen. Getting to be a part of that process is so meaningful to me.
